That used to be a beautiful large Mourning Dove....That white pole is a 3 inch PVC pipe supporting my homemade bird feeder...One of the young stray cats around here decided to infiltrate my backyard and have its way with a "welcomed visitor" just stopping by for a snack....I repeat, the birds are WELCOMED HERE, stray cats are NOT!...Just another reason I can't stand cats, period!....The also **** all over everything, scratch up furniture, fight with each other at all hours, breed like crazy, walk right in front of you causing tripping issues, steal your chair, raid other cats food from their bowls, annoyingly "moan" at times, and some even attack you "out-of-the-blue"....Useless!....-Rant Over-And BTW....The bird feeder is over 6 feet high....The cat must have attacked the dove on the ground....

This is why my cats stay inside. When I let the pups outside, they know what to do with the strays and my neighbor's cats. 😂😂😂

My cat will go on the back porch for about 2 minutes. Then he's ready to come back in. Nature isn't his jam.

@JoeC15 : The cats just kill birds for sport, not for food - usually. They're responsible for the extinction of several small mammal species and countless deaths, pretty sure more than any other species not killing for survival.

@Andi7 :Nope....As a typical cat it just KILLED and moved on.....Obviously wasn't "hungry" as you can see the poor corpse laying there....

Doves are rats with wings. They leave a nasty layer of poop everywhere they go. You should be grateful that the cat is doing a good job keeping those nasty birds away. Your yard will thank you later.

So my mom lives in a rural area, and a few years ago she demanded I take my pistol and shoot these feral cats that are killing her birds in the feeders (6) she had in back yard. LOL I ended up trapping 6 cats, 2 racoons, 3 opossums. Cats went to nephews hay barn, possums and coons went to remote location, no cats were shot. Gave mom my dog.
