Covid takes my aunt.
My fav aunt at that, you talk about a young 76-ish, healthy, still nice looking, outgoing, nicest lady you'll meet, running 1/2 marathons, still with my Uncle with a happy marriage of I'd say 55 plus years, which is very rare in my family, we all looked up to them.
Wow! Nobody know she was even sick (besides my Uncle/cousins), and supposedly, it took her quick, like in the hospital a cpl weeks ago and died today.
I've had many friends with it, some that had trouble fighting it (one told me if he got it again, and they wanted to put a ventilator on him, to shoot him first as he wasn't going through that again) and recovering, some in bed for weeks but fine now, and some that just felt sick a few days, it's a strange and unpredictable disease/virus.
But gets real when it takes part of your family you've known for 50 plus years. Makes you realize how serious it is. I've always taken it seriously, the 6 ft rule and staying at home (fortunately my job allows it) for the most part, and more in these last 7 mths than I have in all my 53 yrs.
2020 is one to remember, lost my sister last mth (not from Covid, just from Diabetes tearing her body up for yrs), my weinie dog in March, and now my aunt.
How sad, don't even think my uncle is doing a funeral until this Covid thing is done.
