@redneckroy : Although it's unusual, you should know that most food service staff are quite religious about washing their hands, at least that's been my experience. Mainly because of all the creepy, nasty, nose picking and crotch grabbing customer's eating utensils that they have to touch LOL!

@redneckroy : We eat out a lot and where we are frequent customers and I don't think it's happen to any of us. I need to ask DH if customers are still shaking hands. That should change with this for sure.

Son, if a man reaches his hand out, you shake that hand with a firm grip and look him in the eye. I've forgotten disagreements with individuals over the years but I'll never forget somebody that won't shake my damn hand.

OT a little...but ladies, am I the only one who gets grossed out when a man shakes your hand just at the tip (shut up, @ginx 🤣) like a dead fish? I mean, just shake my whole hand with a firm grip (shut up again, @ginx )! Blech. Such a huge turnoff for me. Gentlemen, take note!

@WeveBecomeEastHouston : Meh, it aint that bad. I've seen a lot of people at my job leave the restroom without washing hands. I'm fine with not shaking someones hand, and vice versa. I do, however, think it's kind of weird when total strangers feel the need to touch each other as some weird courtesy.

Germs are everywhere and there is no getting away from it. If you are that afraid to show respect and camaraderie than I suggest people build a panic room or bomb shelter in place. Yes it is totally rude to not greet someone unless you consider them undesirable and as far as Asian culture we have seen more dangerous strains of viruses coming from there so no they are not a perfect clean culture. I work in an environment where I meet different people of various ethnicities and backgrounds and that still does not stop me from being an Ambassador to this Country and shaking their hands. I do take precautions and nothing wrong with that.
