I think I'm pretty much the same in person. I'm shy at first and don't do well in large groups of people I don't know. My biggest nightmare is going to a party where I don't know many people. I'm not one to start a conversation when at social events. I'm more of a listener than a talker. Once I get to know people, though, I'm more outgoing. I'd say I'm more of a smart *** when it comes to sense of humor. And I'm pretty straightforward.

Interesting question. I have no idea what y'all think it's my online persona, but I don't think it's very different from who I am IRL. I'm not very conversational, I just say a lot of one liners and witty comments. Or at least that's what my family & friends say.I don't consider myself shy, but I'm not an extrovert by any means. I would probably listen and stay quiet until I hear something that is interesting or can add something to a conversation.I don't think that I'm rude or arrogant or intimidating, but a lot of people say that's their first impression. On the other hand, I think most people give a "fake" first impression (i.e. try to look friendly or smart or interesting) when in reality they aren't like that.

Im normally pretty quiet in groups. Most of my friends are very conservative. For the most part I am anti-social, but once I get started, I can get on a roll pretty easy.I avoid conversations about politics and religion except with those who can be analytical. Always open to learning other perspectives.I've met quite a few people on here. All really good people.

I'm not from here but I got here as soon as I could. I'm active in church and have been blessed with the most amazing family. My wife is the sweetest person I know, runs marathons regularly, and is very much the restorer of the missing pieces I lost from a rough childhood. I'm active in my community orchestra and was on stage as recently as last night. My friendships are few but deep. I'm the guy that'll bail you out of jail and go to the grave with your secrets. I routinely struggle with keeping my disdain for the actions of people separated from Christ's commandment to love people. I work in oil/gas sector, but in Houston, who doesn't? That work requires frequent travel but also work from a home office which is why I'm able to wear so many of you out at 9:00am on a Tuesday morning.
