@sandman : I think he's based out of Detroit, MI. The Motor City part threw me off as well. His goal is to educate parents about the dangers of online predators and expose predators attempting to meet face-to-face with children.
Unless I misunderstood, he thinks he's been texting with a 17-yr-old. That is unfortunately the age of consent in Texas, so he's not doing anything illegal....doing something disgusting and gross that I would give a 43-yr-old a serious beat down for doing with my daughter, absolutely.

I wish this Motor City guy would turn these cases over to police before he shows up with his camera so that they could conduct a proper sting and arrest them. Instead, these pedophiles go free to victimize more children.
I hope you all sit down with your kids (boys and girls) and talk about this. I have always been very upfront with my son about the dangers around him. It's not just girls. Momma would be in jail if some pervert went after him but then, now he is bigger than me so I think could take them down himself.
Channel 2 is interviewing the guy tonight at 10. They are calling him a vigilante. That is what I said in my post above. Nobody commented or liked my post. Do you agree with what he is doing?
His heart seems to be in the right place, but now that these scumbags know someone is onto them, they're just gonna hide for a while! Justice not served! The law has to be involved somewhere! But I don't want to cast a negative on what he's doing because justice or not.... he may have just saved a 15 year olds life!
