Okay, so let me get this straight. Abbott pushed for having the Ten Commandments posted in all Texas schools. But now, he's disturb at having "Muslim" foot washing stations in airports?

This is the reason why it was a mistake for the state government to push one religious agenda, while not allowing others. It's an endless rabbit hole.

Perhaps they could just rename them from "Muslim Foot Washing Stations" to just "Foot Washing Stations".

I've never really thought about washing my feet after a flight. Maybe it's totally awesome and I don't even know!!

@EddyFree :
Oh yeah, you got to watch out for the Loomer! She probably has more power in the administration than any of the cabinet members.

Yes! I was wondering if anyone was there at the airports sterilizing the basins after people washed their cracked and dirty feet in these bowls. Just gross!

Interfaith chapels have been around for a long time, appropriate for those in need or traveling following deaths or in need of prayer.

This isnt about supporting religious interfaith flexibility, it is about identifying something unique to the Muslim community and working to fan the flames of hate and fear.

Up until abbot played this card virtually anyone would shrug it off, as it affects nobody.

In another note, I read about multiple people in Oklahoma or kansas, (can't remember which) who keep having police called on them for obeying the new law requiring folks to use the bathroom of their birth sex. Problem is that these are transgender men, with beards and manly appearance forced to use the ladies room.

Remind me again who thought this was good and important.

IAH already has an interfaith prayer chapel with the foot washing stations. This is an unnecessary expense which could actually be a liability. What happens if someone slips and falls and then ....sues the airport?
