Looks like the contractor will be repairing the pealing sealant because it's under warranty. There could be a number of factors that may have cause the sealant to separate from the surface. These coatings are very climate-sensitive. If done in direct sunlight, it could cause the product to cure too quickly and not adhere to the concrete. Also, if the concrete was not properly prepared at the time and not grinded down properly, the coating would not be able to soak in. Additionally, moisture could have been in the ground at the time of application. These are just some examples.
