Phase two, which began in April 2017, included the construction of a new four-lane concrete boulevard and four-lane bridge over Williams Gully from Ridge Creek Elementary heading north to the Atascocita Forest subdivision.

The project construction cost, which was originally estimated at $9.5 million, came in under budget at $8.2 million and provides Atascocita area residents improved access to Beltway 8.

Precinct 2 is currently working with the Texas Department of Transportation to improve the intersection of Woodland Hills Drive and Beltway 8. Construction is expected to begin in the upcoming weeks, and includes the installation of a second left-turn lane for drivers on Woodland Hills Drive turning southbound onto Beltway 8. According to Commissioner Mormanรขโ‚ฌโ„ขs office, the project is expected to be complete in the second quarter of 2018.
