Women in Texas are just a little bit better ..... I will start with this one. Jaclyn Smith, 1978. She was born in Houston in 1945, the daughter of Margaret Ellen (nÃ©e Hartsfield) and Jack Smith, a dentist. She graduated from Mirabeau B. Lamar High School in 1964 and attended Trinity University in San Antonio. She was a "Breck Girl" before becoming one of Charlie's Angels. A friend of mine met her in 1977 and said she was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. According to him, her skin was flawless. He said that Farrah, whom he had also met, didn't come close. â€” with Jaclyn Smith.

Silent film star Bessie Love, born 117 years ago in Midland TX. She was one of the stars who was able to make the transition to "talkies," and was, in fact, nominated for an Academy Award. She died at the age of 87 in London, England.

Born in Abilene, TX in 1980... Jessica Simpson should have received an Oscar for her personification of Daisy Mae Duke in the 2005 film The Dukes of Hazzard.
