Yet another reason to shop online OR just pay more and go to the H‑E‑B. Hell, ALDI even! I've never seen so much as a side-eye in there - or any of them for that matter.

This has nothing to do with Walmart. They get blamed because of fights, robberies etc, never asked for them there. They didn't raise this trash. I'm gonna bet the police have seen the vids though and are probably on the case. I've always felt comfortable there, but if someone looked at me weird I might leave and come back later.

@chasinghosts : Walmart can afford to hire better security. They should also enforce the Handicap parking spaces. Low life, lazy scum who violate handicap parking are the same kind of people who would steal and start fights.

Like it or not, Walmart has a reputation for attracting trash. I had been twice to the Walmart in Midtown, both times because we had no other choice, and it's just plain ghetto. There is a homeless camp in the parking lot and the area is heavily patrolled by APD. The store was dirty both times and the homeless that live in the parking lot use the facilities. One morning I saw a dead homeless on the curb and APD and an ambulance on the scene. The Target on the other hand is super clean and there are no homeless camping in the parking lot. There are some shops and restaurants across from the big box and are also super clean. The people that shop at Target look more "presentable", no hoochie looking women, no guys that look like registered sex offenders, just normal people. I've never seen APD patrolling the area.So, you are right in saying that Walmart didn't raise this trash, but they must do something to clean their image. Frankly, I don't mind paying more at Target if it saves me from seen some trashy people. It's worth the coin!

@chasinghosts : Same here. I've had no problems at WalMart. I even ventured into Humble WalMart one night but I had a driver drop me off and pick me up. When it's late and no one is open, you just do what you need to do!

@ladybeachbum : So true. I used to go get my kids Christmas presents at 11 p.m. on Christmas Eve while they slept. Best time to go at Toys R Us nobody there and easy to find whatever I needed. I did this for 10 years.
