The Noid

I don't know if anyone remembers the Avoid The Noid ad campaign by Domino's Pizza back in the 80's/90's, but I noticed they recently resurrected it. There's a little history some don't know...

"On January 30, 1989, Kenneth Lamar
Noid, a mentally ill man who thought the ad campaign was a personal attack on himself, entered a Domino's restaurant armed with aร .357 Magnumร and held two employees hostage for over five hours...Noid eventually became hungry and forced the employees to make him two special pizzas. While Noid ate the pizzas with his gun in his lap, the hostages escaped...Two shots were fired by Noid during the incident...Noid was charged with kidnapping, aggravated assault, extortion, and possession of a firearm during a crime. He was found not guilty by reason of insanity. Noid spent time in a mental institution, but
died by suicide in 1995."

Idk...it seems kind of inappropriate to bring it back (it was an annoying, garbage campaign to begin with) under the circumstances. I guess I kind of feel badly for his family seeing it again.
