Like Parkside said they promised him 250K and didn't come through, just makes them look like idiots. When they had the home and garden show earlier this year we couldn't find anything to do with gardens and the food trucks that were supposed to be there weren't. I would have been **** if I'd have driven downtown just to be attacked by salesmen.

@chasinghosts : Yeah, but honestly, whenever I see any type of "Fill in the Blank Show" I kinda figure it's all salesmen, of one type of another. That's why I find it so hysterical they expect me to pay to get in. Really? I'm supposed to pay for the opportunity to be continually pitched at?

The civic center doesn't book events that's a promotions company, . The only involvement the CC has with this is it is/was the venue rented by the promoter. The arena is the only facility that has the capacity to generate that kind of booking fee and it would have to be packed….

@Smokeybear : it has been.. but in the last 2 months or so ive seen several music artist performing there... it kinda blows my mind, 20 years ago he had high school parties there charging 250 to 500 bucks for the space

@Vinbert : Exactly. I wouldn't have gone if I hadn't won the tickets and known that a certain Lobster Roll Truck would be there to buy lunch at. I was dying for some lobster and they were a no show. I was also planning on buying some flowers, there were none. Doubly disappointed

You might want to check the Farmer's Market at Schott Park. They are supposed to be bringing in food trucks as well.
