the renter is literally paying the property tax for the place that they are living in. Period. That is an effective tax.
@ParksideRes : Right but they don't see that rate because the housing and renting market is to artificially inflated.
So trying to say the difference between taxes is in the rent place where one place is 40%+ more expensive and saying they are paying less taxes than you ends up being meaningless in the end.
Rent prices are not that reflective of property taxes, most landlords are just greedy.
I have not raised my tenant's rent in 9 years.
And if I did by my property tax increases over 9 years it would literally only work out to $127 a month.
