My sweet dad

called me earlier to tell me that he might call in the morning to take him to the doctors. He said he wasn't feeling well with a low grade fever and if it's too early in the morning my mom wouldn't be able to drive him. She can't see well if it's dark. I'm hoping it just stays the same or better by then but you never know. So, I'm crossing my fingers.

@Andi7 : Sweet girl, just call him and tell him you are on your way to take him. I promise there will be a day of missed opportunities. I wish I could take my Dad.

@ladybeachbum : I totally understand. He has never called me before to prepare to take him if he calls. I turned off my DND on my phone so I don't miss it. While my sweet dad can be a bit dramatic at times, this is different. I have never brushed him or my mother off if it seems a bit redonkulous. They are wonderful people and I don't want to miss a thing.

@Andi7 : I didn't mean to be bossy. I just tell everyone that the day will come when you can't. I told that to my son just this weekend with a bit of You're Gonna Miss Me when I'm gone. I think his rebuttal was I wasn't going anywhere because neither would let me in!

@Andi7 : I hope all is okay with your dad. The rehab facility my dad was at dumped him and left him by himself at his apartment last Monday. Long story. He is now living with me and I'm taking care of him full-time while still trying to work full time. The stress is ear level but I wouldn't have it any other way.
