Deputy Ursin was off duty picking up dinner for his family when an unknown person shot and killed him while he drove his families vehicle in the 11900 block of Madera Run Pkwy. near Timber Forest in Atascocita. The Harris County Sheriffs Office is actively seeking information from anyone who may have witnessed this or may live in the area with video cameras. If you have any information at all that may aid in the apprehension of this suspect please report it immediately to HCSO at 713-221-6000.
We ask that you pray for Deputy Omar Ursin's family, friends and all of us who are devastated by the loss of our brother.

@RajunCajun : I was on Timber Forest turning right on Madera Run Parkway at 6:15. Lots of crazy people exiting off the beltway! I hope they catch the person soon! Investigators believe the initial shots were fired as Ursin and the suspect vehicle drove past a middle school in Timber. It is the main drag through The Groves. It runs from WLPH to Woodland Hills.
