Shepherds pie-dinner

Getting an early start on dinner today. Making shepherds pie, or actually cottage pie, from scratch. I have the carrots simmering away and I'm about to start the potatoes for the mashed potatoes. I already have the ground beef cooked and then I'm going to make a roux. Also got the raw cranberry relish prepped and made for Christmas Eve. What are you having tonight?

No idea here.. first time I've been off work before 7 in 3 weeks. My dad asked me to bring him a pizza, which is in the works but don't know what I'll feed my kids who have never ending bellies.

I do love Shepard's pie. I cheat a little and but a seasoning packet when I make it.

Tonight was stop at Savaas on the way home....

@Kemibe : It actually tasted very good. Sort of had a bit of emergency in the middle of making dinner so it was a bit delayed and I never quite got the rolls made. But everything is better now.
