Impact on us is minimal as my youngest will be in 5th next year, sure it's a little disappointing to move her when she's all settled but I'm sure she will do great wherever she is.

That is the right attitude to have. It looks to be a nice school. Maybe she will make some new friends too.

I feel for all the parents & students. It's the unknown that most don't like. Who really likes change? But sometimes it's the best thing for some situations.

I mean honestly she is in a portable building right now at ASE. So, at least she will be in a building with restrooms and windows again.

Probably for the first year they won't be overcrowded at the new school. Something else positive to think about.

I don't know, I really had the same question.

I can't go to the public event tonight because my son is in a theatre production at the middle school at the same time so I will just have to wait and see. Maybe someone else on the board will go and find out for us?

The schools out here are FABULOUS, I really don't have any concerns between ASE and this new one in the Groves, I'm pretty sure both will be top notch.

I have a conflict too but would love to hear about it. My house stays with our current school and my son will be in 5th too so not overly concerned, except that some of his dearest friends will be moved. And it definitely seems like it will impact TMS.

@Humblegirl, so far we are also able to stay with our current school (ASE), but I'm also interested in the impact on the current and future middle school. Hopefully we will get some answers vs screaming and arguing...but emotions are running high.

I'm here. Lots of questions already. People are mad that there was only one "proposal" given vs the 5 that were given when ASE was being built.

They just said that this "proposal" will be presented to the board for a vote on 12/13! Wow! Sounds like this is a done deal.

They are trying to placate everyone by saying they are open to suggestions, but it doesn't really sound like it...

@AlettertoElise Sometimes there is really only one logical way to make things happen. Why are people so upset about be zoned to a new school? The first few years the school is usually small. I would think that would be a positive.
