@Cbear : Oh absolutely. I keep my passwords in my phone but if I ever lose my phone, I don't know any of my passwords.

Why is everyone posting random letters and numbers? I hope these are not your passwords.

@eighteen: My childhood phone number was LE2-9057. (No area codes back then). The LE stood for Lehigh in my case. Geographically, you were assigned either LE2 or LE4 exchanges and then your last 4 digits. But our phone numbers back then were party lines. We shared it with another household. If you had to make a call and heard people talking, the number was in use. And it wasn't someone in your house on another phone because there was ONLY ONE PHONE PER HOUSE!

@KathyMarshall : We didn't have to use area codes either, just seven digits. I looked it up; the use of letters and digits as phone numbers lasted from 1920-1960. Up until today, I don't believe I ever knew that. I thought people were giving out their passwords, lol. Using those combinations as passwords is actually a good idea, if it was never attached to your records.

@eighteen : No, but that's a good idea for a password! I hadn't thought of that before, but may do so in the future.
