This post is four hours old and obviously everybody else is afraid to comment also. I am going to jump in, though. What happened to the roux. No browning what so ever! Three minutes of heat and those shrimp would have turned pink. I bet a yankee is cooking this. I don't see any seasoning either.

Its a joke. i love those cooking catastrophe photos that pop up sometimes on the web. That is a spoof because hotdogs in gumbo is a holy war worthy conversation. so is corn and shrimp with the tail feathers still on. just no. usually the gumbo sin is to burh the roux because youare too lazy to sit there and stur it for 30 minutes until it gets chocolate brown. Im also not a fan of okra in seafood or seafood chicken and sausage gumbo.this is my real gumbo. Yes brown franks sliced thin and seared float to the top and the chicken shrimp sausage and lil smokies are on the bottom.
