I just couldn't understand anyone so vehemently calling for his acquittal. He literally got away with murder.

History is filled with cases of people we (general public) feel got away with murder. For me, George Zimmerman immediately comes to mind. That said, when it comes to the Simpson case, in my view a contributing factor in the acquittal was the botched investigation conducted by LAPD.

Their forensic practices were horrible. Evidence was not properly logged. And former LAPD detective Mark Fuhrman testimony left much to be desired. All of this together created reasonable doubt for the jurors.

@Cbear : Yes. He had a total of 5 children (news to me). His youngest daughter from the first set of children drowned at 2.

I believe it was reported that his estate WILL go to the Goldmans. The question here is how much really is there. I imagine he would have made sure most anything he got didn't go into his name at all, but into one of his kids names.

@eighteen : I knew that he was married before Nicole and had a daughter from that marriage but I thought he only had 3 children. Oh well.

@sandman : You goin down! Actually, I don't think Casey is that attractive. Maybe it is because I know what she did. You know how it is...someone can look so attractive and then when they open their mouth to talk and you get to know them...their appeal wanes.
