We have a new contractor that "started" Monday. I asked him to start at 9:00 that day. He emailed at 9:30 that he had been involved in a "fender bender". No communication the rest of the day.

Tuesday he showed up at 9 and left at 4.

Wednesday he emailed at 9:30 saying he had a meeting with insurance adjuster. He showed up at 1pm and left at 4

Today he came in at 10:30â€¦ I just let him go him 5 minutes ago.

Totally agree with the imageâ€¦

@Cbear :

I pointed out during the interviewing process that he wasn't gonna have time to work for usâ€¦ after all he is the CEO of his one man shop company, and Sr Director of Retail Operations at at a mom & pop bakery. I voted no on giving him a chance but the hiring manager decided to give him a chance.

Can't get good people willing to work in this townâ€¦
