Accident last night

AFD units and Mark Herman, Harris County Constable Precinct 4 responded to a major traffic incident involving a vehicle and an excavator. AFD first responders performed heroically in removing the two entrapped occupants. 1 was transported via ground and 1 was transported via Life Flight, both critical.

The location of the incident was at FM1960 Rd E at Timber Forest Dr. An investigation is underway and traffic in the area will be impacted during rush hour traffic. Use alternative routes to avoid delays.

Horrible wreck. People are going through the construction areas at extreme speeds. It's frightening on 1960 now. They're going to be flying off the bridge at the rates their going. my prayers are up.

That intersection is **** right now. It's hard enough to navigate in the day. Cones everywhere, driving on the wrong side of the street.

The people driving behind my brother inlaw and his brother said the machine was backing out and had no light and no one to to tell them to slow down or warn them it was coming out ....both the other person and them were driving the speed limit and it was to dark to see the machine and when they did slowing down was not going to help . The people driving behind them are thankful for my brother inlaw and his brother to have pressed the brakes when they did inorder foe them to slow down to if not it would have been 2 cars not just 1.
