If you like onion rings, their onion rings are amazing. I despise onions, but for some reason, I love onion rings!

I tried it today, based on the glowing reviews here. Not too bad-definitely worth going back. Had the Bacon Cheeseburger and O-rings (I'm a health nut-always have been). One of the better ones in this area for sure.
Owner was there and heard him telling his story to a cpl customers in the next booth-how he'd been at Chili's for 20 plus years and was tired of the late nights so he opened Hippo's. I'm sure they'll be around for yrs.

Pick an off time and you'll be fine-I went Monday around 3, I was one of 3 tables.

Went today at 1:30.

OMG!!! First off, tables were almost full. No line at the counter.
Ordered the Avacado Hippo burger, well done, & onion rings, to go.

Onion rings are crunchy & huge!! Burger is very good!!

Only ate half, saving the rest for later. I will be back!

Edited to say, I just read the burger is 1/2 lb. So I would not eat it all in one setting anyway. Glad I can make 2 meals out of it!

I always ordered either Hippo burger or Avocado burger from them. What else is good? I'm thinkIng Texas Burger or Sirracha...are they good?

I've had the Hippo Burger, Hippo Cheese Burger, Hippo Bacon Cheese, Hippo Mushroom, Hippo Blue and the Hippo BLT... All are fabulous, and I don't know why I skipped the Hippo Special!!

I've also had the Hippo Grilled Chicken, Hippo Buffalo Chicken and the Hippo Chicken Especial... Wonderful!! Yes, we've been a lot to the original location. Basically other than home, it's the only place we eat hamburgers!!
