RajunCajun : DVDs. Before that, a trip to Blockbuster. I kind of miss that! Lots of fun memories dragging all the kids there and watching them retreat to a corner and negotiate with each other. 🤣 The little always lost...but I'd sneak a movie she wanted into the check-out as a surprise, then cuddle up with her in bed to watch it the next morning in our jammies. She still talks about that today.
@brightlights : I love this! I miss Blockbuster, too. There is just something so fun about making it an "event" for our kids. We, like most parents, were on a tight budget. So once a month or so - sometimes more often - we'd make a run to Blockbuster and go up & down the aisles. We would talk with other customers about what was good. Then we would buy movie snacks at the SmallMart across the street. It was a special time.
