They're full of fiber, which makes them digest less unhealthy.
@justanirishgirl : They're close to the same (white potatoes vs. sweet potatoes). About a 1 gram (or less) difference in fiber between the 2. Both have virtually the same amount of carbs. Main difference is that sweet potatoes are LOADED with Vit A, and white potatoes have more potassium (sweet have a little more Vit C).
They're almost identical in calories, protein, fat, and carbs.
I've also heard that sweet potatoes are more nutrient dense digestive-wise if you eat them with fat (butter, etc.). Idk if that's true or not. I love 'em both! 😀
