Yearbook dialogue
It seems that served as a pretty good catalyst. I have to say a few years ago there would have been a considerably more popular tone regarding gays when it comes to the idea that it is a choice, can be cured with therapy, treatment or prayers. I recall seeing adults on here avowing how they would dis-own their children if they were gay; or the fact that their kids couldn't be gay as they were raised in a healthy religious environment.
It seems those are in the minority now, and hopefully dwindling quickly - as we all have friends or family members in this group.
so thanks to
@atascocitadotcom for giving this discussion a little more lee-way than normal.
I understand any club had the opportunity to purchase a page in the yearbook; so my thought is - if my kid purchased one and I felt it was trash (y) - It is a book for all students - and will be on a shelf next to that lettermans jacket pretty soon; so not a big deal in the grand scheme of things
I would hope there would be some control over respectful comments - and I would have to think that there should have been "some" standards - however low that bar is.
