@brightlights : I can handle Gorton's fish sticks, but don't like most of the other brands.

@brightlights : I will love hearing your review! That was the only thing I really would go to Luby's for and if it is even 3/4ths as good, I will buy it. No one here will eat it so I will always have something here. I fix the coconut shrimp from Aldi's with asparagus and they won't touch it. Good for me!

@ladybeachbum : I will let you know! If they're garbage, I'll be honest. Luby's fried fish (they called it "baked"...lol) was my favorite thing ever. Always got it with mashed potatoes, okra, and a barrel of tarter sauce. ðŸ˜‚ I don't even think I ever tried any other entree there!

We used to go at least once a month after church.

Did anybody ever try that Bob Lubys' Seafood place in Huntsville(before they shut it down)? It was pretty darn good. Dont know if it was related to the cafeterias or not.

I've always thought of Luby's square fish as a petroleum byproduct...
That being said, I still absolutely love their square fish!
I might make a special trip to HEB just to get some of these...

@brightlights : That is exactly what I would order- complete with the extra tarter sauce! ..that was back in the day when I still could eat like that!
