Also heard that lake Conroe was closed to all boats, didn't say why.

@Smokeybear :
I saw where they said you can only swim in lake Conroe because there are submerged islands that you can't see & submerged debris . We ate at Cedar Landing last night prior to dark & his boat dock area is almost submerged as well . Coming from Kingwood back to Atascocita I couldn't see the sandbar that you most of the time see on your right crossing the bridge.

So I think people should not be on lake Houston either as we have the same dangers .

@SteelerNation where did you sit inside or out ? We were there also !!!

@bbk We were outside. It was so nice but got a little chilly when the sun started setting. This may help identify us...we returned our food because it was way over cooked. To their credit, they corrected the issue.

Went to East End Park in Kingwood this morning and some of the trails and boardwalks were underwater. There were some boats out but they were being pretty cautious. Lake level is 2.7 ft above spillway up from 2.3 yesterday . You can see the current flowing under the WLHP bridge. Probably going to be a slow rise until Comroe gets back to normal.

The best place to see the river & you really see how( fast it is moving) is head towards Humble on 1960. Go to Belleau Wood St or Blvd & go to the right or headed north . Just keep going straight till you reach the river . You will turn right & see the park on the left .

You come to Belleau Wood East which is on your left & on your right before you come to the street Belleau Wood on your right .

Just got a push notification that lake Conroe is back open to boats. That was fast. Bet cnditions didn't change overnight. Bet the river authority was pressured to open it by all the special interest groups. I hope everyone takes it easy out there.

We went today to check the level and it's up about 4-6 inches. The boardwalk and pier are now submerged. The duck couple are still there.

The debris has floated on down to the spillway, I guess. The lake was really brown and silty, but I couldn't see much debris like I did on Friday.

I looked at the lake level this afternoon. It was 2.8 ft above spillway but was beginning to drop.
