And, if these toys have been around since 2017, why the big fuss now?

I've bought these before. They are marketed as color changing. They do not show what they change into, hence the "surprise" part of it.

The slice of pizza is a nod to Pizzagate that got a little traction and it a code word that is used in place of adults have their way with children.

It's all very disturbing and I doubt that any parent or sane adult would purchase a toy if the box told them "Dip in cold water for an S&M surprise!"

@West-Tex : Yes, in the article it said some parents made a fuss about the anatomically correct male dolls so the company had to put the disclaimer on the packaging.

as anatomically correct dolls that presented a "surprise" with each box purchased. While the child may or may not know what they are getting, what about the parents who purchased them? Are parents just going to toy stores now picking up any and everything to keep their kids entertained?

What do you mean we are just going out and buying for our kids? Of course we are. Never really thought I'd have to worry about it other than choking hazards and batteries not included.

Everything we ******* touch is regulated, approved, etc.

Why in the hell should I have to worry about anything sexual by way of "CHILDRENS" toys!

Amanda79 : I was so fortunate to have our children 1 in 1968 & the second in 1973 . I don't recall having anything weird or strange to worry about when buying toys . This kind of stuff is unbelievable to me . I would have never dreamed perhaps I needed to read the box . With my kids & grand kids at young ages I just made sure I thought the toy wasn't going to have something break off that they could swallow . I don't see how parents today can sleep at night . I'd be plum damn nuts !

@bbk : Imagine the uproar if Barbie's and their boobs or Troll's and their butt cracks came out now.

I think that a lot of us are shocked because we are just learning that such a toy exists. But, I read the article that accompanied this post and it stated that the manufacturer marketed this toy as anatomically correct dolls that presented a "surprise" with each box purchased. While the child may or may not know what they are getting, what about the parents who purchased them? Are parents just going to toy stores now picking up any and everything to keep their kids entertained? And, if these toys have been around since 2017, why the big fuss now? Is it because they are running out of things to complain about during this time of COVID-19, protests, Karen/Ken rants, Lysol shortages, etc.?

@flipflop : I'm going to say they have probably been off the market 2 years already.

@chasinghosts : I was 11 yrs old in 1959 & they sold out before you could blink your eyes . So I got mine in 1960 . I was pleased to have a grown up mom doll . Barbies were for older girls . I didn't know any young kids with them .
