LOVE IT! And so happy to see they listened to the comments about starting earlier to end the first quarter before the break and to take election day off for students!
Love it! I don't mind the earlier start date. Too blistering hot in August to do anything fun anyway, and by then, most are itching to get back to school. Gimme those October and February weeks off all day long! 😀
The problem with this schedule is that the athletes and kids in band have to begin practicing at the beginning of August in the absolutely hottest part of summer. Last year it was very hard on my kids who are in track and band.
@dumbsquam : We had a similar start date all through my years in high school. It didn't matter if it was the first week of August or the last- it was hot as hell.
