@eighteen: hopefully this is what happens going forward. You can't leave parents in limbo and not expect emotions to be running high when children are involved.

@AlettertoElise : Absolutely! This is gross negligence on the part of the district. I'd be livid. My kids will never be bus riders.

I'm over these kids getting away with being little ****. I see post after post daily of parents excusing their kids bad behavior, I'm over it. People ***** about the work ethic today and this is why. Kids have no consequences and aren't expected to follow the rules if they don't feel like the rule is important. That's why they show up to work an hour late looking like they're dressed for a slumber party and looking at their phone instead of taking care of business.

@Mrs TI agree with you. The unfortunate outcome of all of this will likely be that the district will have even more trouble recruiting bus drivers. It would appear this driver was only following instructions and policy. But for that they get chased down by out-of-control parents that hadn't a clue what was going on and could have potentially endangered all the children on the bus by instructing them to get off.I know if I had even the slightest interest in being a school bus driver I certainly wouldn't do so now. Especially knowing if a kid misbehaved, I'd find myself in more trouble than they.

Huffman had so few last year they had to leave kids at the school and come pick them up after they ran first route. Idk how they even get teachers.

@MrsT : Wow. I can foresee a time when school bus service will be a thing of the past in many districts across the country.

Peer pressure...if one pain in the *** kid breaks a rule, all turn around and go back to school and parents have to pick them up. It won't take long for kids and parents to get sick of this and start acting right. And the bus drivers won't have to put up with their ****. Not that it's excusable but bus drivers, teachers, cafeteria workers, etc. are probably pretty tired of dealing with these kids with no support.

Who's ever kid belonged to those females that boarded the bus should not be allowed to ride. Let them figure it out. You can't just follow a school bus then board it and act crazy without knowing the situation or protocols. People think they run everything and can do what they want. Free transportation is a privilege and luxury to help you out.
I was a bus rider and we were bad. I witnessed so many bus driver meltdowns that I now feel so bad for. And as a young student we ALWAYS manipulated what actually happened lol

Someone said the bus driver was fired. I surely hope that wasn't the only disciplinary action handed out.

The parents were getting on the bus pushing bus driver aside so Humble ISD issued some kind of a comment saying that those parents could've been cited with a ticket for doing that. They warned people not to get on the bus if you're not a student or the driver
