Humble "Good Oil Days" Fest Saturday 4/2/22

Humble Good Oil Days annual festival has an array of family-friendly events for every member of the family!

Enjoy a special treat from one of our favorite food trucks, browse through the different booths lining Main Street, or visit one of the entertainment spots!

The Good Oil Days Festival was created to celebrate Humbleรขโ‚ฌโ„ขs rich history in the oil industry, as well as to bring business into the รขโ‚ฌหœhubรขโ‚ฌโ„ข of the city. Itรขโ‚ฌโ„ขs one of the biggest events of the Northeast area of Houston where family and small businesses are joined together.

Whether this is your first time or youรขโ‚ฌโ„ขre returning for another year, the Good Oil Days Festival has something for everyone. From food trucks and live entertainment to an exciting area just for kids, we promise youรขโ‚ฌโ„ขll get to experience a full day of fun!

On November 7, 1904, the Moonshine Company struck oil in Humble and made the small post office town an oil boomtown overnight. With the newfound fortune, Humbleรขโ‚ฌโ„ขs population increased from a few hundred residents to several thousand as Texans migrated to work in the oilfield. At that time, the Humble oil field was the largest producing oil field in Texas. Today, the City of Humble has continued to be a center for the oil industry as well as small retail businesses throughout the areas of Lake Houston.

@RajunCajun : Yea it's a pretty tame event. I haven't been in a 4 years? It was unseasonably cold that day and I thought I might freeze. รฐลธหœโ€š. They have some gorgeous plants for sale at good prices.

@MrsT : That's good to know. We're going to a plant sale this weekend at Mercer Botanical Gardens. I hope that they have a good selection. Dh is itching to get out in the yard and freshen it up with new plants. I like the idea of supporting the gardens because they're pretty cool.

@RajunCajun : Definitely. It's nice enough, sometimes they have food vendors sometimes not. Had to work at the Cafe during it, that was a bust every year, but now I get to go and enjoy it. They have face painting and kids stuff down towards the Methodist Church, raffles and sell hanging plants.

@RajunCajun : Definitely. It's nice enough, sometimes they have food vendors sometimes not. Had to work at the Cafe during it, so that was a bust every year, but now I get to go and enjoy it. They have face painting, other kids stuff, sometimes animals down towards the Methodist Church, raffles and sell hanging plants. It's a nice way to walk without noticing you're walking.
