Just went tonight to hippo burger. It was very good. I had the cheeseburger and garlic fries. The lady that waited on us so nice. Food didn't take long to get. Will be going back

@tflea Yeah, that might be a plan... Sometimes quality suffers when growth happens, but I would love to see these guys be really successful. They are such nice people!!

@AlettertoElise We actually go around 3:00... usually people there, but not crowded. That way we can call it "lunch/dinner," and snack later!! Gosh, I'm hungry for one now!!!

anybody think they might cut down on the pepper in the meat a bit?

I like grease but not so much that I had to have 5 or 6 napkins wrapped around my burger because it was slimy & I drenched the napkins & had to put more . My meat patty wasn't whole it had broken apart & was put on there in 3 pieces so before I wrapped it in the napkins I picked it up took a bite & a chunk of meat fell out the bottom . Then I opened it & saw it was in 3 chunks before I took the first bite . Also to much pepper . I like the gas station burger & to die for french fries best on Wilson road at Atascocita road .

Just left and got to meet @carol888!Very tasty and way too filling. Might do salads for dinner tonight!

@Littlegoo I did a check on that area and heard that it was not a place I should go. I'm usually not too scared to go anywhere but Humble can get pretty rough. I limit my night time Humble goings to usually Sams but I still go to the Dollar King and that has to be rough territory.

@AlettertoElise Which burger is that? Will they over toast the bun? Mys son orders mine by saying "you can burn it!"

Since I have been in the Humble are for over 30 years, knowing areas that can be rough is an advantage(?) but since my kids went to Humble HS (no AHS till my daughter's senior year) so I am careful and the burger was awesome!!!!! I had to take half home, my daughter was smart she got the kids meal I met an ADC fellow AlettertoElise also!

@carol888 Same here. I've been here since Humble was just the place to get groceries and I'd go to Greenspoint but I'd have to really want something on sale to do Gunpoint now. There's no way I would stand in line for a burger, though. Onion rings, maybe!

There was no line when I ordered my food, but people kept coming in, line was quicker then any fast food place I have seen in awhile! Don't start me on gunspoint....

@ladybeachbum, it was the avocado burger and Cajun fries. Really good and definitely greasy as @bbk said....I went thru tons of napkins. I'm not sure if you can have them toast the bun more, but they seemed flexible from other orders I was overhearing. We had them make ours "their way" so we could rate it better against our favorite in-town burger spot The Hubcap Grill. Next time I will probably leave the grilled onions off to see if it cuts down on the grease.I didn't feel uncomfortable or unsafe in the area, but we went right at 11. So maybe those worried about the area could go at that time too and give them a shot. We will definitely go back, but next time I won't eat the entire burger in one sitting, lol...

@AlettertoElise You said one thing that will probably stop me from going,,,grease! That is why I always get the bum really toasted. Once it gets remotely soggy, I can't eat it.
