Harris County Flood Map Sparks Public Confusion Over Projects

ABC13 recently ran a report on a new Harris County flood map people say was misleading.
Despite certain projects being marked as "complete" on the new flood map, no work has been done. Bob Rehak, who runs Reduce Flooding Now, also questions the accuracy of the map, stating it misleads the public about project status. Rehak identified five projects listed as "complete" or "in progress" that have no visible construction.
After ABC13โs report, the agency removed the โcompleteโ projects from the map to reduce confusion. The issue arises as the commissioners' court pushes for more transparency in flood control projects.
