My friends live in Naples, they are safe, and so is their property. Friend in south Ft. Myers lost her carport and a window blew out. Friend in North Ft. Myers where all the destruction is has no idea about her car, boat and home. She lost her husband in January and has been spiraling. Her neighbors are not answering her calls and texts. Husband's cousins in Tampa are not responding either.

@chasinghosts : I hope everyone not answering just do not have service and they are okay. My husband's friend stayed in the condo and still had electricity, The damages are heart breaking al over.

@ladybeachbum : Yes it is. The area where my friends are in Naples at the moment got power back Thurs night. They have not been able to get back to their home to find out how bad it is. It's 5 miles out where they're staying and their home is 1 block in from the Gulf. Re my comment in an earlier post about my Naples friends: It was their families property that is safe now, they haven't seen theirs yet.

Finally found fate of my favorite place I've stayed. It's completely gone, only pool remains.

ParksideRes : That just makes me sick to my stomach. So much destruction in such a small amount of time. I totally understand it but It is hard to see. Praying for all.

I finally reached my friend from Ft. Myers, she sold her boat before she went to Michigan but Ian destroyed her carport with the car under it and neighbors said there was so much debris around her home from the flood that they couldn't see if there was wall or roof damage. She thinks it's a total loss. Her brother is checking on it next week as he's going there with FEMA (he works for them).
I'm just glad she's safe.
