EddyFree : No, I don't know that. I assume that's your opinion. Why wouldn't I?

@justanirishgirl : I pray you don't think I agree with everything I post. 😉😁

I see Kansas made a list. What about Tennessee or Kentucky? I thought one of those states claimed to have THE best barbecue?

@eighteen : KY is not known for BBQ but yes, Tennessee and Arkansas really, really good stuff. OH has a chain called City BBQ, they are really good, not sure where they're from, but yes, no other food too great in OH, basically boring and bland. They love a good Big Boy though. IL has great BBQ all over the state among many other things, and they were left off. Robinson's #1 Ribs, the best I've ever had and you can't even count the rib joints there are so many up there. To be honest I've had some really great BBQ outside of TX, but I've had some really good here too. Some places are definitely going downhill though.

I notice they also left out North and South Carolina, both of which are known for their BBQ and what about the rest of the Southern states. Georgia has some good places, Missouri also, can't recall Mississippi or Alabama.

@bbk : Not saying I dislike it but haven't found any I couldn't do better myself at home. One thing I can say is they suck at coleslaw and potato salad from what I've had here. Probably why most of them don't even serve it.

@justanirishgirl : I assumed the "excerpt" that he put was pretty clear that this was from the article... anyways, I want to know why Miami is on here? I was born and raised in Miami and I know for a fact that they don't really have BBQ, because I've never actually seen a BBQ place lol, or that if they did that it would beat anything from Texas. Shoot, Spring Creek is better and that's not even the best in the State.

I will have to assume that those other cities are ranked higher because of the lack of BBQ places they have, so a few decent ones get rated high because there is no Texas BBQ to rank it against. Texas, Houston especially by far has some of the best food US wide. People will manipulate stats to fit the need.

Reminds me of a story a buddy told me that he was up north and friends said lets go eat at this good mexican restaurant, and they showed up at TACO Bell.

Maimi BBQ probably just pulled pork no beef, lol.
