Walking the dogs this morning saw a couple of trees that had fallen but luckily did not appear to hit the houses. Otherwise all looked okay. Hoping the water recedes quickly so people can get back home. Emoticon

@West-Tex I have looked for a picture of Costco. I saw the video of the area about 10 times trying to locate it. I guess I will survive. I've been in tears all morning seeing all the damage and the great people helping. So as much as I love Costco, they have the money to rebuild but all these people and small business owners break my heart.

@West-Tex You don't think about what stops business. For ours UPS apparently. DH let our office go help at the George Brown because there is nothing to do if we can't get product in and out.

Does anyone know about the area of Kingwood Drive near the KFC, Taco Bell Stein Mart area? Did that area flood?

@ladybeachbum The question is why rebuild. I understand jobs are needed, but so much has been built where there were trees. The ground can only absorb so much. I do no mean to offend anyone; we keep building and it comes back on us.

These were all taken at the highest point of the flooding, Spoonwood drive looking out onto Atascocita Shores. Some pics show the water beginning to recede. I believe on Tuesday, the water moved up Spoonwood Drive 15-20 (lateral) feet in a matter of 2.5 hours. Then it stopped.
