ERCOT has an online dashboard so you can monitor Texas' power grid and see how it is currently doing.

@Rosey: I got one of those from entergy in Louisiana. Turned down my thermostat, and have all lights out except in 1 room. Doing my part. Haven't had the chance to get a generator installed in my new house yet.
