Oh mercy. I would say I don't understand why people don't wear seatbelts, but don't think seatbelts would have helped here! That is utter destruction! Prayers for the survivors and all the families! 1314 is just scary!!
@Lace : I used to have to take my middle son to reserves once a month on that road, and there was a wreck EVERY time. And we're talking early in the morning, I'm pretty sure he had to be there by like 7 am. Is it the road? Is it the drivers?

years back We were on FM 1314 headed to Conroe and a driver coming opposite direction dropped cell phone ( learned later in investigation) , reached down to get it and crossed center line hitting me on drivers side front of my Honda CRV. SUV rolled several times landing on roof. Engine and transmission flew out of the car. I just remember unhooking my son from car seat and he dropped to the ground and we crawled out the back broken window. Medics wanted to secure me as bone was protruding. Broken collar bone. OUCH ! long recovery. thankful no one got hooked on pain meds. thats a whole other story in itself. FM 1314. danger zone.
@walkchalk : how long was it before you got into a car again, i am always on the lookout for anything that might cause a wreck. my fear is over the suv and how it could rollover. if i had a wreck like yours i dont think i could get back into a vehicle for a long time. we sometime use 1314 to go to the woodlands for my medical infusion and there have been many times when we almost collide with another car . once we were coming up to a light and since we had green light we didnt slow up. this idiot pulls out in front of us and we almost hit him. whenever we leave the house we always pray out loud saying lord watch over us .
