Don't Weigh Me
Does anyone else think this is odd?
So apparently, this is such a big deal that you can buy these cards to hand to your health provider in order to avoid being weighed (there are also child versions that emphasize the absence of discussing the child's weight in front of them).
"Being weighed, particularly in front of someone else, is rarely a pleasant experience, thanks to a culture of relentless weight stigma and unrealistic body expectations...it can also be harmful, particularly for those dealing with disordered eating, eating disorders, and body image issues. "Because we live in a fatphobic society, being weighed causes feelings of stress and shame...Many people feel anxiety about seeing the doctor, and will avoid going to the doctor in order to avoid the scale."

I get it's no fun stepping on the scale in front of strangers for many, but isn't it kind of necessary in terms of medication dosages, diagnoses, treatment plans, etc.?
What say you, ADC?
