@ParksideRes : I have a driveway that will hold at least 15-20 cars and with the beach houses sometimes we have to leave it in the driveway until the next day or two but they have backed off with new people I think. When they would send a letter the trailer had a full load of mulch bags I was working into the beds. Then they said I had a recreational vehicle in the driveway which was my riding mower. At that point, I just told them if they harassed me any more I would sue them. Nothing now.

HOA's, if "reasonable", help to keep "shady" people out of the neighborhood....Many HOAs are run by citizens in the community who are elected to those positions and the terms are only a year or two....Difficult to maintain any level of "decency/normality" in that situation....That' s why you always end up seeing the "whip-cracking" HOA employee sending you letters eventually....

I would gladly stick it on the dead tree across the street from me which is a grassy area. That dead tree has been dead for a year and nobody has cut it down when it falls it may fall one of our houses. But I don't think we even have any HOA anymore. The management company's gone so I think I want my money back. I have sent letters and called about the dead tree but nobody cares. Now the phone is dead. It's a mess.

@AMCLady : I complained that they should reduce the amount during covid because the pool wasn't open, and they did not have to hire lifeguards. The next day I had two HOA complaints taped to my door and I had never heard one word from them the three years before

@mastiffrex : Do you live within the ACIA? I don't think they're in the letter business anymore or they would have a heck of time on my street. We've got boats of trailers in the driveways for years. Now I have to worry about this dead tree that is dropping branches like crazy. Somebody's going to be hit one of these days. The board only meets by zoom. They're scared of us.
