HOUSTON - Spring is just around the corner, which means Free Cone Day is too!

On Tuesday, March 19, customers at participating Dairy Queen restaurants in Texas can celebrate the arrival of the new season with a free small plain vanilla cone.

"Texans know spring has arrived when they feel the warmth of the sun, bluebonnets begin to appear and Free Cone Day has arrived at DQ restaurants in Texas," said Lou Romanus, CEO of Texas Dairy Queen Operators' Council. "Creating family memories are priceless so we offer our biggest fans an opportunity to gather and enjoy a treat together on Free Cone Day."

Free Cone Day has become an annually anticipated event. The offer is good all day while supplies last at participating non-mall locations. There is a limit of one per person.

Also during March, customers can enjoy the Mint Brownie Blizzard that features soft serve blended with brownie pieces, choco chunks and cool mint.

@MrsT : DQ was my first job. Our boss would have NEVER tolerated their work ethic. This is where I learned "if you can lean, you can clean".

@Catmae : Yea they opened that one right after we moved from there.
It's slow and dirty. Last time I placed an order for my husband to pick up, which I hate to do because my coupons never work on the app, they left out my kids ice cream. He remembered to remind them to give him their drinks. 🤦🏼‍♀️

@MrsT : The Huffman DQ is between me and my DD. So I usually stop there on my way home from her house. You're right about slow, but since I pick-up in the drive-through, I don't see the inside. I always order extra taco sauce for my taco's, because DQ tacos are the bomb, but they hardly ever actually give me extra. I love their taco sauce too. I admit I like the extra to keep on hand at home, for taco's from anywhere ...
