My Container Garden
Is really doing well this year so far....I've got Tomatoes, Squash, Cucumber, Bell Pepper, Green Onions, and Mint growing in their own pots...Unfortunately my backyard doesn't have enough sunny areas to make a huge veggie garden due to all the trees providing major shade...So, I have to do them in containers in about a 12x12 area that gets a good amount of sun during the day....
I'll post some pics....The cucumbers are starting out a bit slow and are hidden behind the tomatoes in the pics....The Green Onions are just *WOW*..."Stalks" about 2 feet long and those are grown from a green onion I got at the produce section of the grocery store!....The Tomatoes and Bell Peppers I bought as already "growing" plants at Home Depot, the Squash and Cucumber I started from seed I bought at Walmart(yes, I was quite shocked they did so well so far, they basically all sprouted)...
Anyhow, I definitely don't have a "green thumb", but so far so good...Already picked and ate two Bell Peppers....
On another note, I will admit that I feel a bit "dirty"....You see, I don't have many "bees" around my back yard so I read that it may be beneficial if I "pollinate" the veggie flowers myself in order to produce more...So I did...
