Never tried cooking it in gravy. I put a couple strips of bacon on top, and my Mother painted catsup on top. Dang that looks good….

@Smokeybear : Yeah I grew up with a meatloaf made with ketchup or tomato sauce with the little brown sugar, but I've always made mine along the lines of a brown gravy. It's delicious you gotta try it one time lots of fresh garlic and onion. It's delicious.

Not to mention that brown gravy on top of mashed potatoes is to die for

That looks so good. I'm trying a new chicken recipe. Basic spices sprinkled on Chicken that was browned in skillet and then sweet peppers and onions braised in flour. After that plain yogurt added along with red wine and chicken broth. Placed chicken in casserole dish topped with the gravy. Will bake in oven on 425 for 20 minutes. To be served over rice. I think this will be a keeper.

That was answered fast. I was going to guess outside meatloaf and go with Salisbury Steak which is yummy but wrong.
