Good idea. We have collected a bunch of paper cloth reusable bags, that have just been piled in the pantry, but am leaving them in the car for groceries.

@CarolS : I can see cutting down on plastic, but those baggers need those jobs. The baggers I know at Kroger in Kingwood are the sweetest, most helpful folks ....

That is crazy. People buy a lot of groceries in one visit at Krogers. ALDIs seems like a store where you pick up a few things. I don't see how that works

Yes, and on old folks it is not so easy. I don't like it where I have to put all my groceries on the belt in the first place. Now I have to put everything back in a bag? When you are around 80 years old, It is not easy. I try to do all my shopping at once so that I don't have to keep going back. So that means you have a large amount of groceries in the cart.

If HEB starts doing this then I will be getting one of these bad boys.

How does that work for curbside I wonder. I do think its true, there are plenty articles supporting it.

This would be the death of Kroger. As it stands now a lot of their customers need assistance with their groceries to the car. Not too sure how much stock I would put into this.

Last Friday, I went in just before closing and because I know the store I grabbed a pretty good amount and hurried to check out because I know when they are closing you better better be at the register. I forgot we were in the truck? YES , and no bags or coolers. What a mess! It is at least an hour to the beach house. I was mad I bought all the stuff! He was trying to help but spilling baby tomatoes, blueberries and strawberries. Damn, mess! Dogs were going crazy. I was about to say never again.
I guess I will always pack bags for each vehicle so bring it on other stores! They better lower prices.

Sounds like teenagers might stand outside with a sign to assist shoppers. $$

Wow! I can see bring your own bags but to get rid of the baggers is not right… we have been taking our own bags for the last couple of years. At one time, I had heard Walmart was going to do away with their plastic bags and that you would have to bring your own..

I bring my own bags to HEB, where I do the bulk of my shopping. I like it because they can fit more in my bags than they can in the plastic. It drastically cuts down the number of bags I have to carry into the house. I agree that they shouldn't get rid of the baggers though. No reason they couldn't bag in the provided bags. That's what HEB does.
