Chicken Wings: flats or drums??

Poll: Favorite part of the wing

I saw this meme and was wondering what y'all thought. Personally I prefer the drum only because they're easier to eat. I can't tell a difference in taste.

@carol888 : It's the piece that doesn't looks like a drumstick, the one on the left.

As you eat these , think of the illegal who manned the cutting line. In this environment, risking his life so you can enjoy.

@tflea : I'm not sure about that as they seem to pay better than many place in certain areas. When we live in AR many years ago there were only local whites. The plant in IN is an area that is only farms, not much else beside a fish hatchery . Doubt they have any either.

I like both but prefer the little drumstick. The man will only order flats a bdubs.. which is weird to me bc they are difficult to eat as a wing, imo.

There is a trick to the flats (which are my preference). You can easily twist the ends and pull out each bone, then eat the whole thing like a nugget. WAY easier to eat (and dip) than the drummies.

@chasinghosts : Local whites? So insensitive... I would like to be referred to as Anglo or Cracka!

Also called flappers. If you've eaten enough wings it's obvious the flappers are superior. The meat is more tender and if you know what you're doing pulls right off...so much easier.

And don't get me started on people who eat their wings breaded...gross.

@RedV : Flappers were a generation of young Western women in the 1920s who wore short skirts (just at the knee was short for that time period), bobbed their hair, listened to jazz, and flaunted their disdain for what was then considered acceptable behavior.

So a flat is some kind of trash slang for wings?

I like the big, fat meaty part on the drumsticks Emoticon
