Centerpoint Outage Map

So, it was working earlier, and now when I pull it up, it shows no outages. So, everybody got their power back? Or is it just playing dead again?

@Vinbert : Abbott said that 1.2 million has had their power restored due to the extra resources that have been provided, so I'm sure it no longer looks like that. Possibly updating to reflect current data. There are still outages how I'm understanding it.

Just disregard what I said. Ch2 News just said 1.2 million are without. So I don't know what's going on, lol, as usual.

Now Ch2 News said over a million have had their power restored. Guess they weren't watching the Governor's presser. 😂

My friend in Kingwood doesn't have power. And Blue Pearl in Spring is still out too. Just talked to a neighbor and his MIL in Walden is without power. So maybe it's not as widespread as it was but still not resolved.

We're thinking it's possible they are doing 24 hour rolling black outs. Our power came back on during the 25th hour of outage. At the same time, people in KW who had had power all along, went out. If this is the case... prepare to be down again soon.

And actually, our "power back on" story is pretty funny-- we went out to find food. We ate in the truck, and when we got back home, no power was on still. My husband gets our stuff from the truck, walks into the house, and out of habit, hits the light switch. And lo and behold! That's exactly when the power kicked back on. He insists we call him "Bringer of Light" now.

@Vinbert : my boss is on the 2 on & 2 off plan. As in hours. I seem to be on a much different plan. Like 12 hrs. We both live in ES but different areas.

@TexanFan1 : Well, you know, that would make sense (the 2 on, 2 off) plan. And honestly, if they would do that, and let us know what to expect, so that we could prepare, that would make all the difference in the world. But instead, they leave us in the dark, literally and figuratively. If it were just a few hours off, then on, no one's house would get so cold their pipes were freezing. You could still have somewhat warm food, that was prepared and wrapped in foil. Hot drinks could be prepared ahead of time and kept in a thermos. But that's not how they roll.

@ParksideRes : Ours was at the 25th hour. Almost to the minute. So if you go down- you tell us-- lol

@Vinbert : I agree. Nothing about this makes any sense and I feel like we will have trust issues for a while.

@TexanFan1 : And can someone please tell me why the businesses up on the strip mall never lost power? And no, they don't have a generator.
