as a child back in the 1950 . my dad would take us for drives in the country and at that time atascocita humble porter were considered in the country. 1960 used to be called jack rabbit road. we used to see coyote pelts hanging on the fences , ranchers would shoot them . i also remember at age 11 in 1960 my dad's boss had a membership at the country club which at that time was right at the big a. it was gated at that time. on the huffman side of the lake both the boat lunch and the restaurant were there. my dad would take us and let us fish off the barge that was there by the restaurant.
