@RajunCajun : What Sammie said. They are in their natural habitat and won't pose a threat as long as people behave their selves. I know that's a tall order. That has been a wetland for decades. That's why the park was put there, couldn't develop it as anything else. Most likely those two have been there for years. They will at least keep the turtle population in check. (Mmmm…crunchy on the outside, chewy on the inside)

I don't understand the fear and dislike for native animals and habitat. If you fear them, don't go wander their habitat. Personally, I love seeing critters and that Incudes the snakes, gators and scorpions. But that is just me.
