Atascocita park is now open.

The 20-acre park features a picnic pavilion, a unique playscape, restrooms, dog park and hiking/biking trails. The enclosed dog park has separate areas for small and large breeds and the paved trails lead to a boardwalk that spans over a natural pond covered in lily pads.

The park is located at 17302 West Lake Houston Parkway and is open dawn to dusk.

I haven't made it over yet - but I did see a post that there were some steel jaw traps found a couple days after opening from where they were trying to trap and remove coyotes.
